Add timers, subtitles and Lottie to a video
Three new clip kinds: a timer that counts over its own length, one subtitles clip holding every line or an .srt file, and Lottie animations.
Three things people were building outside the API, or not at all.
A timer counts up or down over the clip’s own length, in the format you name.
{ "asset": { "type": "timer", "direction": "down", "format": "MM:SS", "style": { "font": "JetBrains Mono", "size": 96 } }, "length": 10 }SS, SS.S, SS.SS, MM:SS, MM:SS.SS and HH:MM:SS are the formats, so a race clock and a launch countdown are the same clip with a different string.
Subtitles are one clip that holds every line, written in the timeline or read from an .srt or .vtt file. "reveal": "typewriter" types each line out instead of cutting to it. For word-level captions burned from speech, captions.animate still does that.
Lottie animations play from the .json that After Effects, Figma and LottieFiles export, with the transparent background kept, so a logo reveal drops onto footage with no green screen and no alpha video. Export it self-contained: a file that pulls images or fonts from elsewhere is refused, because nothing reaches the renderer except through the checked download.
All three are placed by the same transform as any other clip.
