One size limit for uploads and job inputs
Every plan now has one file size limit, checked the same way whether you upload a file or pass a URL: 500 MB on Free, 10 GB on Pro, 20 GB on Studio.
Plans used to carry two size limits: one for uploads and a lower one for what a job would download and process. A file between the two uploaded fine and then failed every job with INPUT_TOO_LARGE.
Now there is one limit per input file, the same for an upload and for a URL:
| Plan | Largest input file |
|---|---|
| Free | 500 MB |
| Pro | 10 GB |
| Studio | 20 GB |
Jobs can now process inputs up to the full limit: 10 GB on Pro and 20 GB on Studio, up from 8 GB on both. The limits page has the full table, and GET /account/capabilities returns the limit as limits.maxInputFileSize.
A file over the limit is now refused in plain terms, with its size, your plan’s limit and the plans that take it:
Input "source" is 4.02 GB, over the 2 GB your plan takes for one file. Pro takes files up to 10 GB, Studio up to 20 GB: upgrade at https://app.rendobar.com/billing.What to check: on the Free plan, a URL input over 500 MB is now refused. It was accepted up to 2 GB before. Upload a smaller file or move to Pro. limits.maxJobInputSize is still in the capabilities response with the same value as maxInputFileSize, and goes away in the next major SDK release.
