Yes. Rendobar gives every new account $5 in free credits on signup with no credit card required. The free tier includes all operations — watermarking, transcoding, AI captioning, GDPR redaction, QR generation, and more — with 1 concurrent job and 100 MB file size limit.
Compute is charged for every job submission, including failures. The charge reflects what we pay our infrastructure and execution providers (typically a few cents per minute of compute). If a failure was caused by our infrastructure or a third-party outage, contact support for a discretionary refund. Successful jobs are charged at the same rate plus our margin.
No. Credits never expire — purchased credits and monthly grants accumulate in your balance.
Submissions require a positive balance (greater than zero). A single in-flight job may bring your balance below zero; subsequent submissions are blocked until you top up. Most jobs cost between $0.01 and $0.50.
Yes. Rendobar offers FFmpeg as a service — send any FFmpeg command via the REST API, CLI, or MCP tools, and it executes on cloud infrastructure with no server setup. Commands are validated through 8 security layers before execution.
A self-hosted FFmpeg pipeline requires provisioning servers, managing job queues, handling retries, and scaling compute. Rendobar replaces all of that with a single API call: upload, process, download. You pay per job with no idle server costs.
Yes. Rendobar is MCP-native (Model Context Protocol), meaning AI agents like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can process videos directly through standard MCP tools — watermark, transcode, caption, redact, and run FFmpeg commands. Both Free and Pro include MCP access.
