Terms of Service

Agreement

By using the Rendobar API, dashboard, or website (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you're acting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

The service

Rendobar is a media processing API. You submit jobs via REST API or dashboard, we process them and return the results. We also provide documentation, a dashboard, and developer tools to support your integration.

Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your API keys and credentials secure — you're responsible for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to:

• ✕ Process content that violates applicable law or third-party rights
• ✕ Circumvent rate limits, credit limits, or security controls
• ✕ Resell access without a written agreement
• ✕ Process CSAM or non-consensual intimate imagery
• ✕ Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service

We may also use automated systems, including AI-powered content moderation, to detect violations. Accounts that violate these rules may be suspended or terminated without prior notice.

Raw FFmpeg Commands

When you submit raw FFmpeg commands via the raw.ffmpeg job type, you are responsible for the command contents, the inputs you reference, and the output you generate. Rendobar sanitizes commands for platform safety and runs them in a sandboxed container but does not audit intent or content. You agree not to use raw FFmpeg commands to bypass acceptable-use restrictions that apply to other job types.

AI agents and automated access

You may access the Service via AI agents, MCP clients, or other automated tools. All automated access is subject to these terms and counts toward your rate limits and credit balance. You are responsible for the actions of any agent or tool that uses your API key.

Billing

The Service uses prepaid, usage-based billing. You receive an included balance each month based on your plan and may purchase additional credits at any time.

Compute and Charges

We charge for compute used to process every job submission, including jobs that fail. Charges reflect the cost we pay our infrastructure and execution providers, plus our margin. We do not automatically refund failed jobs. If a failure was caused by our infrastructure or a third-party provider outage, contact support — refunds are evaluated case-by-case.

Account Balance

Submissions require a positive credit balance. A single in-flight job may drive your balance below zero; subsequent submissions are blocked until you top up. Negative balances flag your account as past-due — service is suspended after 7 days unless you top up.

Failed Jobs

Failed jobs incur the same charge as successful jobs (provider + infrastructure + margin). The dashboard displays the charge for every job regardless of outcome.

Credits

Purchased credits and monthly grants accumulate in your balance and never expire. The Free plan stops accepting jobs when your balance reaches zero.

Your content

You own everything you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to deliver the Service. We don't use your content for anything else.

Outputs are stored according to your plan's retention period and automatically deleted after that. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process the content you submit.

Intellectual property

The Service, its code, documentation, and branding belong to Rendobar. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology beyond what's needed to use the Service.

Privacy

How we handle your data is covered in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Availability and warranty

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rendobar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Rendobar harmless from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms. You can close your account anytime from the dashboard. On closure, stored outputs are deleted after a 30-day grace period.

Sections on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email or dashboard notification. Continuing to use the Service after notice means you accept the updated terms.
